Our EKCO team completed a sliding door installation project in Edinburgh, where we were tasked with supplying and installing two sets of sliding doors measuring 4000mm wide by 2300mm high. For this project, we used our ES29 Aluminium Inline Sliding Doors, featuring a remarkably thin sightline of only 29mm. This design choice was made to maximize the amount of natural light entering the newly renovated space.
Additionally, we provided matching EW70 aluminium windows for the entire back elevation of the house. These enhancements contribute to a sleek, modern aesthetic and ensure consistency in the design.
To achieve the low U-values required for this project, each glass panel was triple-glazed, with each panel weighing approximately 180kg. Despite the challenging site access, our dedicated team managed to carry these heavy units through the house by hand, showcasing their exceptional strength and teamwork.
The main contractors for this project were 7 plus 7 Construction, who once again delivered outstanding results both inside and out. Their meticulous work has left the client with a stunning open-plan kitchen extension that perfectly aligns with their vision.
