Windows for Architects

Eco Bifold windows for architects, joiners and builders across Scotland

Eco Bifold is renowned for supplying and fitting bifold doors, Pronorm German-built kitchens, bathrooms and sunrooms across Scotland. The latest addition to our portfolio is the Origin aluminium window. As with our other products we appreciate that architects, joiners and builders may want to arrange the fitting themselves therefore we are happy to offer our windows on a supply only basis if required. There are three different types of window available – the casement, bay and gable end. Here are just some reasons why you should consider Eco Bifold when looking for new windows either for replacement in an existing property or for a new home-build or commercial property project.

  • Casement window - A traditional 19th century timber-window design made suitable for 21st century living. Thanks to advanced manufacturing techniques combined with premium grade aluminium construction our windows are just as suitable for property refurbishment within highly regulated conservation areas as they are for new-build housing developments.

  • Bay window – The beauty of a bay window is its ability to capture light as the sun moves round at various times of the day. With ours homeowners get so much more for their investment with various colour options and bespoke sizes all adding to the personal character of any property whether commercial or residential.

  • Gable End – Sunlight streaming through an upper window onto the hallway, stairs or upper landing is an iconic image that we aspire to capture in our own homes. On a beautiful day the stunning gable end window from Origin provides exactly that. Available with a minimum corner angle of 22 degrees, it allows for even the shallowest of roof pitches and the multi-sight lines can be matched up with our bifold doors to make a breath-taking and bold architectural statement.

  • Bespoke sizes – Our windows are designed and manufactured in Origin’s Buckingham factory. There are three styles to choose from but each one can be made to your exact specifications so you get a window which is totally unique.

  • Aluminium – Premium grade aluminium is the material of choice when it comes to our window frames. Weighing 67% less than steel it delivers a lightweight yet strong and durable structure that will last for years.

  • 20 year guarantee – The combination of premium grade aluminium and craftsmanship delivers, we believe, the best window on the market today. Produced in Origin’s Buckinghamshire factory each one undergoes a rigorous testing process and full quality control in-house from start to finish. This is why, like our bi-fold doors, all windows come with a 20 year manufacturer’s guarantee.

  • Low maintenance – The strength of our windows combined with the durable powder coated finish means that there is virtually no maintenance over the lifetime of the product.

  • Vast colour range – Rather than allowing just a few choices, our windows are available in up to 150 different colours to cater for individual tastes.

  • Thermal efficiency – The triple-glazed window has a Certified U-Value of 1.5 which exceeds British Building Regulation requirements for optimum thermal performance. And an Energy ‘A’ Rating based on double-glazed simulations. This means that homes will be cool in the summer and warm in winter, whatever the Scottish weather throws at us, while at the same time keeping energy bills low.

  • Attention to detail – It’s the little things that matter. That’s why attention to detail makes the difference between a good quality window and the best on the market. The finishing touches such as our handles come in a sleek metallic finish, or can be colour-coded to match your window frames. Whichever you choose you can be sure of the same precision-built craftsmanship that goes into the construction of the windows themselves. When it comes to practicality the Origin window meets a range of building regulations including those governing emergency exits, restricted openings and marine based properties. Safety is also a top priority as our windows are fitted with innovative hinges to reduce the likelihood of fingers becoming trapped.

  • Optimum security – For maximum safety in the home the Origin window system uses the industry-renowned Yale Encloser lock with innovative bi-directional locking technology. The high security, easy to maintain stainless steel hinges feature a unique patented hinge geometry which provides unrivalled compression. The security system is further increased with hinge guards to ensure additional protection from intruders. When choosing an Origin Window, you can rest assured that it, along with its high security locking mechanisms, will surpass the latest security tests and regulations.
